• What Can We Do About Pensions?    Monica Townson has prepared a background paper that provides an overview of the current pension systems in Canada, identifies the challenges and provides an overview of suggested solutions.  Monica Townson background paper
• The Communication Energy and Paperworkers have proposed a new National Pension Investment Fund to address weaknesses in workplace pension plans.

• NDP resolution, moved by Wayne Marston, MP, passed unanimously by the House of Commons in June 2009
